ZTE Signs Frame Agreement with VOO Belgium
A major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise, and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile internet, signs the Frame Agreement with Nethys (VOO) for the provision of Mobile Core digital transformation Services. VOO is a brand owned by Belgian cable operators Nethys and Brutele, and operating as Light MVNO and provides communications services to customers in Brussels and Wallonia (French-speaking part in Belgium), including internet, fixed voice services, mobile services and digital and interactive TV.
Earlier in December 2017, ZTE announced the exclusive bid with VOO for a digital transformation programme from Light to Full MVNO.This programme will enable VOO to converge its fixed and mobile cores and develop its business autonomously and flexibly by becoming a Full MVNO.
In this programme, ZTE will deliver the first full-fledged virtualization solution that is based on ZTE's self-developed hardware and Ceph storage solutions in the high-end market in Western Europe. It provides nearly 30 + vApps, which is of a full suite of network elements such as vCN, vVAS, and vBSS, including end-to-end virtualization solutions for all components from hardware, NFVI platform, VNF to MANO. The deployment of a full set of ZSmart BSS and ZSmart OSS enablement platform will help VOO for both the fixed network and MVNO business in a more flexible and unified way, support new businesses for consumer and business customers, minimize the time to market for new services and provide customers with a superior experience.
The successful bidding of this programme proves once again ZTE's leading position in cloud technology, not only for traditional MNO operators but also for the emerging MVNO.
ZTE cloud technology brings the cloud-based solution closer to customer needs, helps MVNOsto enhance network operation flexibility, develops new businesses more agilely and rapidly, and greatly enhance the brand's competitiveness.
“We are happy to work together with ZTE for one of our biggest transformation programmes. We believe that thanks to ZTE flexibility, know-how, commitment and state of the art technology, we will definitively achieve our objectives most efficiently,” said Christian Vyncke, CTO, VOO.
